About Me

A bright orange-red flower with seven rounded petals and a yellow center.

I am a child psychotherapist trained specifically to work with children using a psychodynamic, child-centred approach. My background in psychotherapy, arts therapy, and education supports a thoughtful, creative, and relational way of working with children and families.

Before training as a psychotherapist, I spent over ten years teaching in high schools in both New Zealand and Australia. I am also a mother of two primary-school-aged children, which grounds my work in a real understanding of family life and the challenges parents face.

I have worked in non-profit organisations supporting children and families across Auckland, and I work with each child and family with care, curiosity, and respect. I value working collaboratively with parents and, when required, alongside school SENCOs, teachers, and other professionals to ensure children feel supported across home and school environments.

How I Work

My work is grounded in building a safe and trusting relationship where children can express themselves through play and creative exploration. I pay close attention to the emotional themes that emerge and work thoughtfully with parents to help make sense of what their child may be communicating beneath the surface. Through ongoing conversations and reflection, we develop supportive and relational ways of responding that strengthen emotional regulation, connection, and a sense of safety at home and at school.
